I’m Maddie Ray, a photographer in Dallas who is originally from a little town called Corsicana. If you love fiercely and are ready for an adventure, we’re going to have a heck of a time. I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 10 years old, but I started my career as a middle school teacher! At one point, I was teaching 6th grade and practically running my photography business full time. In 2018, a sense of peace came over me as I thought about which direction I should go. I quit my teaching job and I took the plunge into this dream of a job as a photographer in Dallas.
I truly feel called to document and savor the beauty and emotion behind every day and extraordinary days. I don’t want families or couples to remember “taking pictures” on their wedding day. I want you to remember the little moments you share — like holding hands as you walk through the aisle as newlyweds. I’m just the one there, making you feel natural in front of the camera, as we capture priceless moments together — ones that will feel sentimental when you look at the images years later.

The only thing you need is to love your person fiercely and be willing to get a little cuddly, I will do the rest. As a wedding photographer, I’ll document your relationship — the sneaky, flirtatious glances, the softhearted gestures and even the silly laughs.

An associate photographer is a hired photographer of the same level of experience as the owner + main photographer (that’s me, Maddie). Ashlyn is a highly trained & extremely talented member of my photography team. We have been working with together for two years, and she knows the MRP brand better than anyone else. She has learned the signature posing style, has the most upbeat personality, and can run the day with confidence.

I average 75-100 edited images per hour at weddings. All images are first delivered through an online gallery that can easily be shared to friends and family. Professional prints can be ordered through this gallery if desired. However, you do have the right to print anywhere you'd like, too!
I am more than willing to travel - even for engagements! I actually love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I include a base number of miles in my collections. There is an additional travel fee for further distances & that amount varies per location.
You will receive the wedding gallery 8 weeks after your wedding date. We love to blog weddings to make the wait time a little better and we just really love reliving your wedding day!
I arrive to your wedding with a multitude of lenses & gear to be prepared for any situation or any equipment failure. I also carry business insurance and liability. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance, I have no problem supplying that.
I accept cash, credit, and checks. All sales subject to 8.25% TX Sales Tax. To reserve your date, one half of your balance is due as a reservation retainer and the final half is due 30 days before the wedding. All contracts can be signed online from anywhere in the world by included parties!

If we agree that we are a good fit for each other, I will send an online client workspace with a proposal, payment request, and contract. You can sign & pay directly online. No date is reserved without a fully signed contract & paid reservation retainer.
